Feyenoord v Roma Preview | Feyenoord hoping to extend nine game unbeaten run against Daniele De Rossi’s Roma

Feyenoord welcome Roma to Rotterdam on Thursday night looking to keep their unbeaten run going for another 90 minutes. The side are currently on a nine game unbeaten run, with their last taste of defeat outside of mid-season friendlies being against Celtic on the final day of the Champions League Group stages.

Roma come in to the game having seen their three game winning streak halted by Inter, with the Serie A leaders winning 4-2 in Rome. They will have fond memories of playing the Eredivisie side, with this tie being a repeat of last seasons quarter finals. After a 1-0 win at Stadion Feijenoord, Roma ran out 4-1 winners to secure their passage to the semi-finals, where they lost to Sevilla.

This is now the third time that the sides are facing each other, with the first time since 2015 having been the Europa Conference League final back in 2022. Then head coach of the Italian’s Jose Mourinho added another European title to his collection with a 1-0 win in Tirana. Feyenoord will be hoping that some form of revenge for the past two seasons is on the cards on Thursday evening.
