Several English sides keeping tabs on former Watford winger Adrian Blake after the 2005-born talent scores first senior goal for FC Utrecht

According to Fabrizio Romano, several English clubs are interested in signing former Watford winger Adrian Blake, who is currently impressing in the Eredivisie with FC Utrecht. The 18-year-old London-born left winger netted his first senior goal on Wednesday night as Utrecht claimed an emphatic 5-1 victory over PEC Zwolle.

Adrian Blake joined Utrecht last summer from Watford, where he’d been rising through the youth ranks since 2013. The 2005-born talent made his senior debut for the Hornets in August 2022 when coming on as a second half substitute in a 2-0 home defeat to MK Dons in the EFL Cup. His Championship debut came eight months later, in a 2-0 home win over Stoke City.

This season, Blake has featured 26 times for Jong Utrecht in the second tier, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Wednesday’s clash with PEC Zwolle marked his third first-team appearance. The youngster came on as a second half substitute and showed exactly what he’s capable of.

A move back to England could be on the cards for Adrian Blake this summer, as multiple clubs are keeping tabs on the talent. Utrecht reportedly received loan offers for Blake in January, but he stayed put and he’s now performing in the Eredivisie.
