Manchester United interested in Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Ajax’s Mohamed Kudus

Manchester United have lined up a shortlist of possible strikers to recruit ahead of the summer transfer with two Eredivisie players featuring, according to Manchester Evening News.

Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus are believed to be on the shortlist of potential suitors for Erik ten Hag’s side as the Red Devils look to boost their attacking options after Cristiano Ronaldo’s release and Wout Weghorst’s loan set to expire at the end of the season too.

According to MEN, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is thought to be the number one target on the list with rumours the England captain might be persuaded to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Interest in the striker has intensified since Antonio Conte was sacked with no sight of a replacement lined up until the end of the season.

Gimenez, 21, is seen as a potential long-term suitor and has been impressive since moving to De Kuip last summer scoring 18 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions. He has been playing particularly well in Europa League too with five goals in seven appearances for Arne Slot’s side too.

Kudus, 22, is another potential long-term signing and one who Ten Hag is familiar with during his tenure at Ajax. The Ghanaian international has picked up 11 goals in the Eredivise this season – his best season to date since arriving at the Johan Cruyff Arena in 2020.
