Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær on Club Brugge’s shortlist list for next season

Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjær is one of the managers on Club Brugge’s shortlist for next season. The former Manchester United, Cardiff and Molde manager has, according to Transfermarkt, been working with Kristiansund’s youth side in Norway.

Club Brugge are looking for their fifth manager since Phillipe Clement left to join Monaco back in January of 2021. Rik De Mil is currently in charge as a caretaker until the end of the season, having taken over from Scott Parker. The Englishman only lasted 12 games, himself having taken over from Carl Hoefkens. Despite a good Champions League campaign, an inconsistent league season saw the end of Hoefkens before Christmas. Hoefkens himself took over from Alfred Schreuder, who led the side to the league title last season before joining Ajax.

Schreuder was rumoured to be returning when Parker left, as his time with Ajax had ended with his dismissal. However, neither side could reach an agreement and in the end Club Brugge decided to wait until the end of this current season.
