Feyenoord expecting to lose one of their top prospects

During the popular Dutch podcast Voetbalpraat, former Ajax and PSV midfielder Marciano Vink highlighted the impressive development of young left-back Qulindschy Hartman. Hartman came through the youth system of Feyenoord and joined their first team the beginning of the 2022/2023 season, but has quickly become one of the teams brightest stars. Vink believes that while it may be more beneficial for Hartman to develop his skills in the Eredivisie, he also stated that he ‘would not be surprised if there is a big club at the end of the season’, or even during the winter break.

Hartman’s debut season with Feyenoord was highly successful, with the Rotterdam based outfit winning their first Eredivisie championship in six years, Hartman played 33 times, scoring 2 goals and assisting his teammates on five occasions. Hartman has been able to develop his talent during the start of the current season with the left-back starting all 11 games for Feyenoord, assisting three times already, with two coming in one game against Heerenveen in September.

Hartman’s successful start to the season led to a call up to the Netherland’s National Team by Ronald Koeman in the recent international break. Hartman started both games for the Oranje against France and Greece, having scored a consolation goal on his debut during their 2-1 loss versus France at the Amsterdam Arena.

Hartman will aim to continue his fine start to the season as the Eredivisie returns, with Feyenoord hosting SBV Vitesse at the weekend. Feyenoord are currently 4th in the Eredivisie after eight games, four points off leaders PSV. They sit in 3rd in their Champions League group but only one point from top spot after two games. With Feyenoord fighting in both the Eredivisie and the Champions League, this gives Hartman the perfect opportunity to showcase his skills on the biggest stage.
