The two veteran’s future was undecided following the clubs relegation to the second tier, but they announced that both would be staying with the club. Vormer has committed to two more years, after spending the second half of the 2022/2023 season on loan from Club Brugge.

The former Club Brugge captain had certainly given Zulte Waregem’s chances of avoiding the drop a boost when he signed in January, however an injury saw him side-lined and the teams form dipped as a result.
