Zulte Waregem recently announced that the fans had voted Gambian winger Alieu Fadera as their player of the season. It is unlikely that Fadera will be returning to defend that title next season, with Zulte Waregem having been relegated and the winger certainly in demand. Voetbalkrant have reported that a number of foreign clubs are showing interest in Fadera, alongside Club Brugge, Antwerp and Anderlecht.
Manchester United are a surprising name that appears in the report, alongside the likes of Toulouse and Rapid Wien in Austria. The 21-year-old scored six goals and provided six assists in 33 games for now relegated Zulte Waregem. Despite the poor season his club were having, Fadera had been a rare shining light for Zulte Waregem this season. The winger has improved his goals and assist numbers this season and its likely that Zulte Waregem will try and get more than the €2m that he is apparently valued at.
