Anderlecht set to keep Nice target Francis Amuzu

Anderlecht are set to keep Francis Amuzu at the club amid interest from Nice.

Amuzu has been linked with a move away all summer, and Nice, who had a bid rejected earlier in the window, have ramped up their interest again in recent days with Dutch winger Calvin Stengs leaving for Antwerp, increasing their need for attacking reinforcements.

However, while the player wants to make the move, his club have seemingly decided not to let him go, at least in this transfer period, despite offers of around €10m.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, it’s looking like Anderlecht have decided to keep the player for the time being, which has upset him and his entourage.

It was hoped that they’d be able to get him to sign a new contract with the club and talks had already begun on the matter, but that now seems unlikely to happen any time soon.
