Coventry City interested in Standard Liege’s Romanian international striker

LDH are reporting that Coventry City are interested in Standard Liege forward Denis Dragus. The 24-year-old Romanian striker spent the second half of the 2022/2023 season on loan with Genoa, where he failed to score in five appearances. During his time at Standard, Dragus has score 10 goals in 55 games. The striker joined the side in the summer of 2019 from FCV Farul Constanta in Romania. He scored 13 goals in 56 games for the Romanian club.

Dragus has also been capped by Romania, playing five games and scoring two goals. Both of his goals came during international friendlies last season.

Standard are hoping that Noah Ohio will be their main striker next season. The 20-year-old Dutch forward showed promise as he grabbed five goals in his first season at the club. Despite reported interest from a handful of Italian sides, Ohio expressed his desire to remain at Standard for the 2023/2024 season to help his own development.
