According to Het Nieuwsblad, Antwerp are showing interest in signing Excelsior winger Couhaib Driouech. The Moroccan 22-year-old was subject of interest from Eredivisie giants Feyenoord and PSV in January, but a move failed to materialise. Antwerp are expecting to lose a number of players in the summer and are already looking to replace them in the coming weeks. They have also been in talks with former QPR midfielder Tjaronn Chery, who is looking to leave Israel this summer having spent the last few months on loan at NEC.
Driouech has been one of Excelsior’s top performers this season despite their struggles. In 24 league games he has scored four goals and provided five assists, participating in 20% of all their goals this season. He is currently under contract with the Rotterdam side until 2025 and has a transfer value of around €3m. The Moroccan U23 international has played 95 times for the club, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists.
