Anderlecht and Inter yet to find agreement on Sebastiano Esposito’s future

As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht and Inter have yet to reach an agreement on the future of loanee Sebastiano Esposito. The 20 year-old is on loan at the Brussels club till the end of 2023, however he has struggled to force his way into the side and after inconsistent performances the club are looking to return him to Italy. Esposito is currently training alone in Milan rather than with the Mauves.

If no agreement is reached, it is likely that Esposito returns to Anderlecht and remains till the end of the season. Both player and club would prefer to find a solution that see’s the attacker move to a new club in January, rather than staying with Anderlecht and getting little game time.

Anderlecht are on their third head coach of the season, with former Brentford coach Brian Riemer having taken over from Felice Mazzu, with Robin Veldman having taken charge in between as an interim head coach. The new head coach has already spoken about his desire to bring a high intensity pressing game to the capital. Anderlecht have struggled so far this season, sitting in 11th place with just 20 points from 16 games.
