Ajax are set to sign bright teenage prospect Mika Godts from Belgian side Genk this month, Voetbalkrant reports.
The striker, 17, was previously in talks with his current club about possibly renewing his deal having impressed in the first team but those talks broke down.
Personal terms have already been agreed by the Belgian youngster with his new club and Wouter Vrancken’s side are thought to receive a fee in the region of €1 million in order for the attacker to leave imminently.
Godts previously stated how he wanted to help Jong Genk until the end of the season but the negotiations have gathered a lot of momentum since his comments. The Belgian U17 international previously aimed for a departure in the summer.
The youngster has picked up 10 goal involvements in 20 appearances for Jong Genk this season where he predominantly played on the left-wing but can play as a striker too.
