According to France Bleu, Jordanian international Musa Al-Taamari will join Montpellier in the summer. The winger, whose contract expires with OH Leuven in a few weeks, is set to leave Belgium for France. The 25-year-old began his career in Jordan with Al Jazzera, before moving across to Cyprus to play for APOEL Nicosia. In two seasons with the Cypriot side he played 81 games and scored 13 goals.
Since joining OH Leuven in the summer of 2020, Al-Taamari has scored 10 goals in 92 games. Six of those have come this season, making it his second best season in terms of goals after the seven he scored in Cyprus during the 2018/2019 campaign.
Having spent €1.10m on the Jordanian international, OH Leuven fans will likely be frustrated to see the player join a bigger league for free. Al-Taamari, who can operate on either wing, has scored 12 international goals in 52 appearances for the national team.
