Kaminski Group set to acquire Kortrijk for €15m as Burnley drop out of race

HLN are reporting that the sale of Kortrijk is finally set to happen. Vincent Tan has wanted to sell the club for a while, and now the paper is reporting that the Kaminski Group is set to acquire the club from Tan for €15m. They have beaten Burnley to acquiring the club that Tan bought for €5m. Should the sale not go through, Vincent Kompany’s side are expected to renew interest.

The Kaminski Group had been interested in acquiring Everton in the past, but the deal fell through. Kortrijk fans will be desperate for some clarity, as the club currently has no head coach. Training begun this week with a minimal group of players led by coach Joseph Akpala, who himself has no interest in becoming the head coach this soon into his coaching career.

Despite the lack of clarity, the side are set to sell Japanese defender Tsuyoshi Watanabe to Gent for €3.5m. It is likely that this will be announced once the takeover has finally been made official.
