Feyenoord sign 20-year-old defender Antef Tsoungui from Brighton & Hove Albion

Feyenoord have confirmed the signing of Antef Tsoungui from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 20-year-old defender has joined the Dutch champions on a two-year deal at De Kuip for an undisclosed fee.

Tsoungui was born in Brussels but grew up in England. His career started in Chelsea’s youth academy, but the central defender made the move to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018. He made his first team debut for the club in a 2-0 win over Cardiff in the Carabao Cup last season. Antef Tsoungui spent the second half of this season on loan in the Belgian second tier with Lommel, where he featured five times.

Mark Ruijl, Feyenoord’s Head of Scouting has said ‘Antef is a very talented footballing defender who can fill both positions in the centre of the back. We are convinced that Antef will continue to develop into a very complete player. We will therefore support him intensively in his development in the coming years and we will also map out the right route in consultation with him.’
