Dutch talent Dean Huijsen signs new long-term contract with Juventus

Dean Huijsen has signed a new long-term contract with Juventus, according to Voetbal International. The 18-year-old defender joined Juve in 2021. His new deal with the Italian giants will run until June 2027.

Huijsen featured 40 times last season, switching between Juventus’ U19s and the reserve team, which plays in Serie C. He also played in the UEFA Youth League. The centre-back scored 10 goals in total during the last campaign.

VI spoke to the teenager in February about the possibility of a new contract. Huijsen said ‘I’m having a good time at Juventus. I’m doing well here and it also seemed unfair to Juventus to leave. The club is enthusiastic about me, my family and I are very happy about that.’ Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has previously included Dean Huijsen in Juventus’ Europa League squad. The young defender is a player to keep an eye on as he continues his career at Juventus.
