Cardiff City loanee scores again to heap more pressure on Ronny Deila and Club Brugge

Kortrijk shocked Club Brugge on Saturday afternoon as Isaak Davies scored the only goal of the game to give the bottom side a crucial win. The 1-0 win saw Kortrijk climb off the bottom of the table, while Club Brugge sit in fifth, nine points off top side Union St Gilloise. For Davies, this is his third goal since joining the side over the summer.

Pressure will now certainly be on Ronny Deila following this defeat. The usually strong Club Brugge have now suffered one of their worst starts for well over a decade, with no wins in the league over the last five matches. This includes two defeats in a row, the previous being against Deila’s former side Standard Liege.

When the usually reliable Andreas Skov Olsen missed a penalty in the 72nd minute, it felt that luck was on Kortrijk’s side. For the Kerel’s, they’ve now won two of their last three. The difficult games continue however, with Genk coming to the Guldensporenstadion next weekend.
