Zulte Waregem v OH Leuven Preview: Can David Hubert keep up OH Leuvenโ€™s winning streak?

After a terrible start to the season, OH Leuven have put together back to back wins. Both were 1-0, and neither were convincing, but David Hubert wonโ€™t care too much. The added six points released some pressure, and with striker Sory Kaba back at the club, perhaps Hubert now has someone up top who can find the back of the net. On Saturday afternoon they travel to newly promoted Zulte Waregem, who have played well in six games but are yet to see many rewards for their performances.

Zulte Waregem have won one of their six games, with one draw and four defeats. Three of these defeats have come from the previous three games, but the opposition were thought in Club Brugge, Sint Truiden and Genk. The side will eye a home game with OH Leuven as a great chance at three points. They will need the likes of Jeppe Erenbjerg to keep up their strong start to the season. The 25-year-old Dane has scored three goals in six assists. 20-year-old Joseph Opoku may be awaiting a first Pro League goal, but the young forward from Ghana has looked good so far.

OH Leuven would love someone like Erenbjerg up top. None of their strikers have scored, with defender Ewoud Pletinckx leading the side with two goals. Kabaโ€™s return may help, as the last time the striker scored double figures was during his time with OH Leuven. The return of Noe Dussenne to the Pro League has had an early impact on the side, with two clean sheets in his first two games for the side.

While Zulte Waregem were in the second tier last year, the sides did meet each other in the cup. The newly promoted side will hope that Saturday doesnโ€™t see a repeat of that clash, with OH Leuven running out 5-0 winners. This seems unlikely.
