Yves Vanderhaeghe looking for reaction against Antwerp

KV Oostende manager Yves Vanderhaeghe said he is looking for a reaction as his KV Oostende side travel to second place Antwerp on Thursday night. Oostende were well beaten by Union St Gilloise at home on Sunday evening 6-1. Speaking to the clubs media, coach Vanderhaeghe said “We are only four days later, but now we can react. Tomorrow we will play against the co-leaders. They started the season with 27 out of 27, but in the last two to three weeks we have seen that they can also lose. Why shouldn’t we provide a surprise there?”.

Vanderhaeghe took over at the Kustboys after successful German manager Alexander Blessin moved to Genoa. Oostende currently occupy the final relegation spot and have only managed one win in their last five matches. The win came against Eupen at home, while they drew with Cercle Brugge and Seraing.

Following their trip to Antwerp, Oostende will host bottom side Zulte Waregem.
