Despite being linked with multiple top clubs over the summer, Youri Tielemans says he has no regrets about staying at Leicester.
At the start of the summer transfer window, it looked likely that Tielemans would leave the club with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested in the midfielder. A move never materialised though, forcing him to remain with Leicester until January at the very least.
It was widely believed that he was keen to leave the Foxes, so it would be logical to think that he’d be disappointed about staying, especially given the poor start to the season they’ve made.
However, he says he’s perfectly happy staying put for the time being.
“It’s a great opportunity to clear your head here,” he said after arriving at the Belgium training camp.
“Turning the switch is possible today, since everyone here is happy.
“That I didn’t leave? I was also able to easily turn that switch. I have no regrets, my family is also well in Leicester. We just need a little more luck and confidence.”
