Ex-PSV striker Yorbe Vertessen nears Salzburg switch

Yorbe Vertessen (24) looks set to change clubs again. After a year at Union Berlin, the former Belgian youth international is preparing to make a permanent transfer to RB Salzburg, according to various German sources.

Vertessen was reportedly absent from training in Berlin yesterday in order to complete his transfer. Salzburg will be his fourth club in two years.

In January 2023, the attacker joined Union on loan from PSV after good form with the Jong team. He then played another half-season at his parent club before making the move to Union Berlin. Vertessen scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 32 matches last year in the German capital.
