Yale Bull Dogs striker Kahveh Zahiroleslam on trial with Sint-Truiden

HBVL are reporting that 21-year-old Kahveh Zahiroleslam is currently on trial with Sint-Truiden. The Yale Bull Dogs forward has scored 13 goals and provided 4 assists in 28 games in the American college league over the past two seasons. At 6’4. Zahiroleslam is certainly an intriguing prospect who could bring a different option to Sint-Truiden’s attack. the young forward now has a chance to show the Canaries that he is capable of making the jump from College football to a European top flight.

The team are in desperate needs of forward reinforcements. Gianni Bruno, last seasons top scorer, is unlikely to return, while Daichi Hayashi has recently left to join FC Nürnberg on loan for the 2023/2024 season. Hayashi scored eight goals for the Canaries last season and provided four assists.

So far the incomings have mainly been in defence, with Frederic Ananou and Bruno Godeau joining on free’s. They did also sign attacking midfielder Ryotaro Ito from Albirex Niigata from the J League. New head coach Thorsten Fink will be hoping for a few more new faces before the season starts.
