World Cup Preview | Belgium v Morocco

The Red Devils were far from convincing in their opening game against Canada. The North Americans missed a first half penalty and had over 20 shots against the Belgians. There was much criticism of the performance from a side featuring many players appearing for what will likely be the last time at a major tournament. If results elsewhere go their way, Belgium could qualify for the next round with a win.

Their opponents Morocco drew their opening game 0-0 with Croatia, a game they played well in and if they had been more clinical they could have won. Morocco will certainly have taken confidence from theirs and Canadas performance.

Results in the last 5 matches in all competitions:

Belgium W-L-L-W-W
Morocco D-W-D-W-W

Team news:

Romelu Lukaku is back in training, but this one may come to soon for him to feature in. Roberto Martinez is likely to have a choice to make in central midfield, where he praised the impact Amadou Onana had when he replaced Youri Tielemans. Thomas Meunier may also come in to replace Yannick Carrasco in the starting XI.

Morocco may well be without key player Achraf Hakimi, who has an injury that is troubling him. Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui is also an injury concern for the Atlas Lions.
