Will Still not interested in a return to Belgium

Will Still, brother of recently sacked Charleroi boss and former Beerschot manager has ruled out a return to one of the Belgian sides that has a managerial vacancy. Talking to Gazet van Antwerpen, Still said “I will not leave Reims for a team that is having a hard time in the Belgian first division. I am comfortable here and I am learning a lot”.

Still has had been interim manager with the French club since the suspension of manager Oscar Garcia. Under Still, the French side have gone three games unbeaten, including a draw against PSG.

Prior to working in France, Still had been manager of Beerschot following Hernan Losada’s departure midway through the 2020/2021 season. At the end of the season the side decided not to retain Still as manager, opting instead for the experience of Peter Maes. Maes was replaced by Javier Torrente midway through the season, but neither was able to save the team from relegation.
