Westerlo sign Irsan Muric from Club Brugge

Westerlo have announced the signing of 18-yer-old striker Irsan Muric from Club Brugge. The Belgian teenager, who is also eligible for Serbia, has signed a three year contract with Westerlo, with an option for a further two years.

Westerlo are starting to rebuild a squad that will see a vast majority of players leave in the summer, namely due to returning to their parent clubs. They certainly need to bring in strikers, with Lyle Foster having left in January to Burnley, and Nene Dorgeles returning to RB Salzburg, goal scoring is certainly an area of importance.

Muric is the second signing for Westerlo for the 2023/2024 season. With Maxim De Cuyper returning to fight for a starting place at Club Brugge, the side needed a new left-back. They have broken an Australian A-League record with the signing of Jordan Bos from Melbourne City. Bos has made 47 appearances for Melbourne City since graduating from their youth team, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
