Westerlo set to bring in Rangers defender

HLN are reporting that Westerlo are set to bring in Clinton Nsiala from Rangers. It is not yet clear whether the move will be a permanent one for the 22-year-old or just a loan deal. The French defender joined Rangers in 2024 having spent some time in the youth academy at AC Milan. Westerlo could certainly do with defensive reinforcements as they try to move away from the relegation battle in the Belgian Pro League.

Nsiali joined Rangers on a free in 2024 and has gone on to make 17 appearances for the first team, scoring one goal. After making 13 appearances for Rangers during the 2024/2025 season, Nsiala has seen his appearances drop during the current campaign. With just four appearances so far this season, it is clear why Westerlo are hoping to be able to do a deal with Rangers for the central defender. Westerlo and Rangers have already done one deal this window, with Tuur Rommens having left the Belgian Pro League to join the Glasgow side.

Westerlo are currently 11th in the Belgian Pro League and grabbed an important win over Zulte Waregem at the weekend.
