Westerlo set for second January signing as former AC Milan prospect lands in Belgium

Westerlo are rumoured to have secured their second winter signing with Andreas Jungdal (22). The Danish goalkeeper is expected to arrive from Cremonese on loan until the end of the season, although the move does include a purchase option.

There have been considerable murmurs surrounding Jungdal’s move to the Pro League in the last few days, but on Tuesday, Westerlo and Cremonese reportedly reached an agreement on a loan until the end of the campaign. The Danish stopper is said to have landed in Belgium today to undergo medical tests and sign his contract.

The 6 ft 5 in Jungdal was plucked away from Danish Vejle BK by AC Milan six years ago. However, a breakthrough at San Siro never came, and thus, following a loan spell at Austrian side SCR Altach, he swapped the Rossoneri for Italian Serie B club Cremonese. Last season, Jungdal played 18 matches and kept 10 clean sheets.
