Westerlo and Charleroi interested in Sint-Truiden leading scorer Gianni Bruno

Het Belang Van Limburg are reporting that Westerlo and Charleroi are looking to bring in Gianni Bruno in the summer. The Sint-Truiden forward, on loan from Gent, is the sides top scorer with 17 league goals this season. It has been evident in the past weeks that the 31-year-old striker will not be returning to the Canaries in the summer, while his chances of remaining at Gent when he returns in the summer are also slim.

Charleroi are currently relying on Vakoun Bayo and Youssouph Badji upfront, both of whom are on loan. Bayo will be returning to Watford in the summer, while Badji will return to Club Brugge. The Zebras will therefore be looking for a new striker in the summer and if Bruno is available he would be a welcome addition.

For Westerlo, they lost their top scorer Lyle Foster to Burnley in the winter and did not go out and find a replacement. Nene Dorgless has chipped in with some goals, but at the moment they club are going with youngster Kyan Vaesen, who has scored six goals in 29 matches. Like with Charleroi, Bruno would certainly strengthen the clubs forward ranks.
