West Ham trying to sign Club Brugge’s Hans Vanaken

West Ham are trying to sign Club Brugge’s Hans Vanaken and are currently preparing a second bid after having their first rejected.

Vanaken has spent the entirety of his career playing in Belgium and has gone on to become one of the Pro League’s biggest stars since joining Club Brugge in 2015.

His performances have earned him 21 caps for the national team and have caught the eye of West Ham, who are determined to bring him to London this summer.

Het Nieuwsblad have reported that the Hammers have already offered €10 million plus bonuses for the 29-year-old, but that Club Brugge quickly rejected the offer.

David Moyes and co aren’t giving up though, now preparing a second offer which will no doubt be more lucrative.

Vanaken himself is said to be keen on the move, aware that it could be the last chance he gets in his career to play at such a high level.
