Vitesse present new accountant and fulfills important KNVB license condition

As per De Telegraaf, Vitesse have fulfilled an important licensing requirement. The Arnhem club has signed a cooperation agreement with CROP registered accountants.

“It is an important step towards a healthy future for the Arnhem Professional Football Organisation. The Licensing Committee was personally informed immediately after signing,” Vitesse announced.

Timo Braasch, general manager of Vitesse, is pleased with the new accountant: “This agreement shows that Vitesse is ready for a healthy future. In recent months, we have taken the necessary steps in good cooperation to achieve this cooperation. I am pleased that we have also met an important condition of the KNVB Licensing Committee.”

Vitesse continued in a statement: “The necessary processes have been followed in recent months to arrive at a definitive collaboration. CROP has, at the request of the Licensing Committee, inspected the entire correspondence between the Licensing Committee and Vitesse. Based on this, CROP has also seen no obstacles to actual order acceptance.”

Menna Kruiswijk, spokesperson for CROP: “As an accountancy organisation, we have a legal obligation to perform the correct checks and investigations in order to arrive at a definitive client acceptance for each new collaboration. We are pleased that we were able to complete this in good cooperation with Vitesse and that we can contribute to the future of Vitesse.”

Finding a chartered accountant has fulfilled an important licensing requirement, but the future of professional football in Arnhem is far from secure. The licensing committee announced the intended decision to withdraw the license two weeks ago.

After a hearing with the club management of Vitesse, it will be determined whether the intended decision will be converted into an actual withdrawal of the license.
