Union St Gilloise bring in Algerian striker Mohamed Amoura

Union St Gilloise have announced the signing of 23-year-old Algerian striker Mohamed Amoura from FC Lugano. The striker has signed a contract until 2027, with an option of an additional season. Amoura becomes the clubs seventh signing of the summer after the likes of Noah Sadiki, Mathias Rasumussen, Kevin Mac Allister and Charles Vanhoutte.

Amoura began his career with ES Sétif in Algeria, where he scored 18 goals and provided eight assists in 45 matches. In the summer of 2021, Swiss side FC Lugano signed the forward. During his time at the club Amoura won the Swiss cup and scored 17 goals in 66 matches, alongside providing five assists. During his career, Amoura has played as a winger as well as a central striker. To start this season, the forward already scored once and provided one assist in the Swiss Super League. The forward has been capped 13 times by Algeria, scoring four goals.

Union are a perfect three out of three to start the season, scoring eight goals and conceding just once.
