Under pressure Felice Mazzu still confident for West Ham clash

Under pressure Anderlecht manager Felice Mazzu still has confidence in his players ahead of their Conference League tie with West Ham. Speaking to the press before the game, Mazzu said “Even though a lot of people don’t believe in us for tomorrow, I think my group is able to show good things against an opponent like this”.

As reported by Sporza, Mazzu went on to state that “Even though the match may be less important than Sunday’s, we still want to show that we want to do something good and not let this competition go”. Sunday’s game saw Anderlecht lose 1-0 to Sporting Charleroi at home.

Anderlecht are currently sitting in second place behind their English opponents with four points, after a victory over Silkeborg and a draw with FCSB away from home. Despite Anderlecht’s poor start to the season, the clubs hierarchy and players are said to remain supportive of the manager.
