Tottenham Hotspur target Gift Orban grabs sixth goal of the season as Gent rescue a point

Gent came back from 2-0 down against Sint-Truiden to rescue a draw on Sunday afternoon. Aboubakary Koita and Mathias Delorge had given the Canaries a surprise 2-0 lead after just 12 minutes. Sint-Truiden, under Thorsten Fink, have been one of the surprise packages in the Belgian Pro League this season, having completely changed their style of play with Finkball.

Gent are hoping to push for the title this season, so can ill afford to drop points at home to a side many thought would be battling against relegation. Gift Orban, who has been heavily linked to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, got his sixth goal of the season to bring Gent back into the game. Orban has taken just six games to reach this tally. Shortly after half-time, Sven Kums provided an assist for Jordan Torunarigha to make it 2-2. Neither side could force a breakthrough and the game ended 2-2.

Gent remain unbeaten, with three wins and a draw and are level on points with Club Brugge at the top of the table. Club Brugge won 7-1 against RWDM in a statement win. Sint-Truiden have won two, drawn one and loss one so far this season. Should they be in a battle to avoid the drop, winning a point away at Gent could prove to be crucial, even if they had been leading 2-0.
