Togolese reinforcements: Eupen bring in Charleroi’s Loic Bessilé on loan

Eupen have announced the signing of Togolese defender Loic Bessilé on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old Togolese international will strengthen the Panda’s defensive line and is a versatile option, able to play a centre-back or left-back. Bessilé has struggled for game time with Charleroi this season, managing just 13 appearances with many coming from the bench.

Eupen are currently embroiled in a relegation battle, with the side above the drop zone due to games won. They recently lost 3-1 away to Standard Liege.

The side have seen a number of summer signings depart the club already, with Jan Kral moving back to the Czech Republic and Sambou Soumano returning to Lorient after a loan. Australian international James Jeggo also left the club over the weekend, moving to Scottish side Hibernian and making his debut in the Scottish Cup.

At the other end, the Pandas have brought in Ibrahim Diakité on loan from Reims, as well as Brandon Baiye on a two and a half year deal from Clermont Foot.
