Speaking ahead of the crucial game with Croatia in the World Cup, Timothy Castagne had a few words of advice for his teammates. As reported by Sporza, the Leicester City defender said “Now we have to play without putting pressure on ourselves. We shouldn’t think too much and just have fun. We have so many players who are incredible when they have fun”.
Belgium must beat Croatia in order to qualify for the next round of the World Cup after their shock 2-0 defeat to Morocco. Questions have been raised over whether or not the Golden Generation of Belgian football is past its sell by date, and the time for playing new younger players should be now.
There has also been plenty of tension surrounding the squad, with Roberto Martinez himself admitting that the situation was tense within the camp.
Morocco will be hoping to take advantage of whichever side comes out worse between Belgium and Croatia when they face Canada, who have already been eliminated after losing both of their games.
