Thibaut Courtois says that, with his performance against Celtic, Eden Hazard showed Carlo Ancelotti that he deserves more chances at Real Madrid.
As he usually does these days, Hazard started the match against Celtic on the bench but was brought on when Karim Benzema got injured after 30 minutes.
Playing as a false 9, he was hugely impressive for the remainder of the match, getting a goal and creating a number of chances for his team-mates.
It was the first time he’s played more than a half of football this season, and Courtois, his team-mate for club and country, says he showed the manager that he deserves to be played more.
“The goal and assist show what kind of player he still is, and he shows the coach that he deserves more chances,” the goalkeeper told the Spanish press.
With Benzema injured, Hazard could indeed be set to get more laying time in the coming matches.
