FC Twente’s main shirt sponsor Elektramat have chosen not to see out their partnership contract with the Tukkers. The Enschede club now have to look for a new sponsor after for next season.
Elektramat succeeded Pure Energie as the club’s main sponsor last year and, at the time, agreed a two-season contract with Twente. However, the electronics wholesaler from Enschede has now chosen not to extend that contract.
The company’s general manager Mike van Klaveren explained, “The rapid developments within our industry now require a renewed focus.”
Elektramat will remain involved with Twente in a different role, more information about the content of this is yet to be announced. Dominique Scholten, general manager of the Eredivisie club, thinks it is a shame that the company will not continue as the main sponsor.
“Over the past year and a half, we have come to know Elektramat as a very involved partner. We have a pleasant collaboration with Elektramat and think it is a shame that they will stop as main and shirt sponsor of FC Twente after this season.”
