Telstar Eredivisie promotion hero resurfaces in Egypt

As per Voetbal International, Mees Kaandorp has completed a transfer to Wadi Degla FC. This was revealed when the midfielder made his debut for his new club last Friday.

Against Pyramids FC, Kaandorp came on as a substitute midway through the second half before the game ended 0-0.

Kaandorp played a major role in Telstar’s promotion to the Eredivisie. He scored twice in the decisive play-off match against Willem II. However, his expiring contract in Velsen-Zuid was not renewed.

Earlier this summer, he maintained his fitness at ADO’20 in Heemskerk, and now a major adventure in North Africa awaits him. Kaandorp has signed a one-year contract with an option for a second year in Egypt.
