Teddy Teuma pens new Union Saint-Gilloise contract until 2025

As reported by the Union Saint-Gilloise official website, captain Teddy Teuma has signed a new contract which will see him stay at the club until 2025. The new three year contract also includes an option for an additional season.

Teuma joined Union from Red Star FC in 2019. He became captain of the side and helped them clinch promotion back to the Pro League in 2021, while also leading them to second place in their first season back. Teuma has scored 22 goals for the club and provided 33 assists in his 128 matches.

The announcement comes before the Europa League clash with Braga. The game, like all Union European games, will be played in Leuven. Following their dramatic 2-1 victory in Portugal last week, a positive result this evening will clinch qualification to the knock out stages. Last night, Club Brugge managed to secure their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, thanks to some Simon Mignolet heroics away at Atletico Madrid.
