Talented teenager Noah Mbamba to join Bayer Leverkusen for free in the summer

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Club Brugge teenager Noah Mbamba is going to join Bayer Leverkusen on a free in the summer. Mbamba made his first team debut at the age of 16 under Phillipe Clement, yet his lack of game time under Clements replacement Alfred Schreuder meant he was put off signing a new deal with the club. The 18 year-old is now able to leave for free in the summer, with the Bundesliga his likely destination.

Mbamba has only played twice for the first team this season, with the majority of his time spent with Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League. In the second tier he has scored three times and provided three assists in 9 games.

Club have already lost one talented youngster to the Bundesliga in the past few weeks, with Arne Engels joining Augsburg. At the other end of the spectrum, club captain Ruud Vormer also departed in the winter window, moving on to Zulte Waregem after a career with the side that saw him win a number of trophies.

Rumours are also circulating around another teenager from Club Brugge, with Chemsdine Talbi reportedly being chased by Lille, Leipzig, Wolfsburg, PSV, Ajax, Monaco, Sassuolo, Salzburg and Frankfurt.
