Sint-Truiden have announced the return of striker Taichi Hara on loan till the end of the season. The Japanese striker was on loan at Sint-Truiden from Deportivo Alavés last season, scoring eight goals in 28 games. The club are currently waiting for the player to receive a work permit before he will be able to play.
23 year-old Hara has made 15 appearances in the Spanish second tier this season, scoring once. The striker began his career at FC Toyko in Japan before moving to Europe to join Croatian side FK Istra. Hara played an impressive 71 games for the capital club, scoring 28 goals and providing five assists. The Japanese striker scored eight goals in 18 games for the Croatian side, as well as providing three assists. This form saw him gain a move to Deportivo Alavés, however he has only scored two goals in 16 matches for the Spanish side.
Haya becomes the second player that Sint-Truiden have brought back from last season during the winter window. Rocco Rietz also rejioned the side on loan, having been with the club last season as well. In terms of departures, the side has seen young star defender Ameen Al-Dakhil move to Burnley.
