Striker Václav Sejk leaves SC Heerenveen to join Sigma Olomouc

Sigma Olomouc have announced the signing of Czech striker Václav Sejk. The 23-year-old striker has left SC Heerenveen to return to the Czech league and sign with Sigma. Sejk joined Heerenveen for the 2025/2026 season but only managed to score four goals in 19 games. He had spent the last season in Portugal on loan with Famalicao, where he managed three goals in 16 games.

Sejk had the best season of his career so far in Dutch football, but this came in the second tier with Roda JC. During the 2023/2024 campaign in the second tier, Sejk scored eight goals in just 17 games across all competitions. Roda then battled for promotion via the play-offs but were unable to gain their way into the Eredivisie.

Sigma Olomouc are currently eight in the 1 Liga, with seven wins from 19 games. They will be hoping Sejk can improve their goal scoring output, with the side having scored just 18 goals so far this season. With only 17 conceded at the other end, its clear that a goal scorer could really help elevate the club.
