Reports this morning confirm that an agreement has been reached between Standard Liege and FC Versailles for the signing of Ibrahim Karamoko. The Paris-born midfielder makes the Belgian switch on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with an option for a further year if desired by all parties.
The defensive midfielder who can also operate at the back was first trained at LOSC Lille and then in Italy with Chievo Verona and Torino before playing at Virton, Guingamp and most recently Versailles.
This season, the midfielder played 12 matches in the Championnat National, scoring two goals. Karamoko is the first transfer for Standard in this winter transfer window.
