Sporting and Zeno Debast agree personal terms as negotiations at club level continue

HLN are reporting that Zeno Debast has agreed personal terms with Portuguese giants Sporting. The Anderlecht defender and the Lisbon club are now just waiting for a fee to be agreed with Anderlecht, with Portuguese media believing that a deal will be reached in the region of €16-18m.

20-year-old Debast really came into his own last season and has continued to develop alongside veteran defender Jan Vertonghen. He has been a key player in the sides title challenge this season and will now be under a bit more pressure with the former Tottenham and Benfica defender out for the next few games. The young defender should be included in the Belgian squad for the upcoming Euros in Germany as well.

Sporting have won the Liga Portugal for just the second time since 2002. In 32 games this season they have only conceded 29, scoring an incredible 92 at the other end.
