Sparta Rotterdam eyeing up two players from Norway’s Eliteserien

TV2 of Norway is reporting that Sparta Rotterdam are showing interest in two players from the Norwegian top flight the Eliteserien. The first is Bodø/Glimt’s Andreas Helmersen, with the Eredivisie side having already submitted a bid for the player. While the striker has operated as a back-up option to first choice Kasper Høgh, the club have said he is not for sale. With more Champions League games to play, the sides head coach is keen to keep the squad together before the end of the league phase. As a result, Bodø/Glimt rejected the offer from Sparta Rotterdam.

The next is from Molde. Sparta Rotterdam have also had a bid rejected by the Eliteserien side for midfielder Alwande Roaldsøy, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Ham Kam. Molde then recalled him yet, while he didn’t get as much game time following his return, they are keen to keep him around for incoming head coach Sindre Tjelmeland. However, TV2 are also reporting that Sparta Rotterdam are keen to submit another bid to try and take Roaldsøy away from Molde in January.
