SK Beveren have announced the signing of former PSG and Marseille youth prospect Bryan Goncalves. the 27-year-old central defender was part of the PSG set up between 2014 and 2016, before moving to their rivals Marseille in 2018. Goncalves never made a senior appearance for either side, moving to FC Versailles in 2019. After 17 appearances for the club, he moved to Stade Lavallois where he has played since 2021.
Goncalves was part of the Stade Lavallois side that won promotion to Ligue 2 in 2022. He played 26 times in Ligue 2 for the side, getting sent off three times. He has signed a contract with Beveren for three seasons, with an option for an extra year. The side were able to bring the defender in on a free.
After missing out on promotion to RWDM last season, Beveren are hoping to finally return to the top flight this year. The side were relegated from the Pro League back in 2021, when they were known as Waasland-Beveren.
