Sint Truiden make Anderlecht defender’s loan move permanent

Sint Truiden have announced that they are taking up the purchase option on defender Louis Patris. The former OH Leuven man has spent the season with the Canaries on loan from Anderlecht and has now move permanently for an undisclosed number of years. Patris never really broke into the Anderlecht first team after an impressive break out season at OH Leuven. During the 2022/2023 campaign Patris provided six assists and scored twice in 35 games. He only managed 19 games for Anderlecht over a two year period.

So far this season Patris has played 28 games for Sint Truiden, providing five assists. The club are currently taking part in the relegation play-offs in the Belgian Pro League. Their surprising 3-0 defeat at home to Kortrijk on the weekend means they are only four points ahead of their opposition, who currently occupy the remaining automatic relegation spot. With Beerschot already relegated, Kortrijk, Sint Truiden and Cercle Brugge are all playing for top spot and survival. Whoever finishes second will face the winners of the Challenger Pro League play-offs.
