Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Sint Truiden are keen to bring in Jeremy Mbambi from Pisa. With defender Loic Mbe Soh leaving the club to join Sparta Prague, the European bound Canaries are in need of defensive reinforcements. As a result, they are hoping to bring in the teenager from Belgium who has been capped at youth level by the Red Devils. According to Tavolieri, Sint Truiden are not the only Belgian side interested in the Pisa defender. Both KV Mechelen, who themselves have suffered injuries at the back this season, and SK Beveren who were recently promoted, are interested in bringing Mbambi in from Pisa.
Should he leave Pisa, Mbambi will do so having made one appearance for the senior team. For the second half of last season he was loaned out by Pisa to Pontendera in Serie C, where he played 15 games.
Sint Truiden will likely be the more attractive prospect for the Pisa defender of the three Belgian teams interested, given that they are guaranteed European football this season.
