Simon Mignolet set to return to action this weekend

HLN are reporting that Simon Mignolet has recovered from his injury and will take his place back in between the posts for Club Brugge. The former Liverpool and Sunderland goalkeeper injured himself during the sides 2-0 cup semi-final defeat and has been replaced by Nordin Jackers for the previous two games. The on loan OH Leuven shot stopper has impressed with his performances, especially in the 3-0 victory over Genk. However, with Mignolet being one of the sides more experienced players, he is likely to take his place over Jackers this weekend.

Club Brugge are facing a season without trophies for the second time in a row. Their cup exit added further frustration after defeats to both Antwerp and Anderlecht late on denied them any small chance of competing for the title during the play-offs. After the sides 2-1 defeat to Molde in the Europa Conference League, head coach Ronny Deila has come under increasing pressure.

Club Brugge face OH Leuven this weekend at home. The away side are currently in a battle to avoid the drop.
