Sheffield Wednesday announce the signing of Dutch winger Anthony Musaba from AS Monaco

Sheffield Wednesday have announced the signing of the highly-rated Dutch winger Anthony Musaba. The 22-year-old has joined the Owls on a permanent transfer from AS Monaco for an undisclosed fee. Musaba becomes Sheffield Wednesday’s seventh signing of the summer.

Musaba joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in June 2020 after impressing at NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The rapid winger scored nine goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances for NEC during the 19/20 campaign. After moving to Monaco, Musaba experienced loan spells with Cercle Brugge, Heerenveen and FC Metz, before returning for another season with NEC Nijmegen. Last season the youngster featured 16 times for the side that finished 12th in the Eredivisie. Musaba made one senior appearance for Monaco.

Anthony Musaba can play on either wing and as a striker. His ability to play anywhere on the frontline will make the Netherlands youth international a brilliant addition to this Sheffield Wednesday side. On Friday night, Wednesday will kick off their Championship campaign with an away clash against Southampton.
